Urea is the most concentrated solid nitrogen fertilizer referring to amide group. Two grades of urea are manufactured depending on the purposes: grade A (white crystals and granules) for industry, and B (white slightly colored granules) for agriculture. It is well dissolved in water. Under good conditions of storage urea is weakly caked.
Urea is used for kinds of soil and for all types of agricultural crops as the main, presowing fertilizer and for top dressing. It is used for rice cultivation, foliar dressing of vegetable and fruit crops, and for late corn dressing in order to increase content of protein substance in grain.
Differing from other kinds of fertilizers, even in case of increased concentration (>5%) urea does not burn leaves – and at the same time it is good absorbed by plants.
